AI-Assisted Jagjeevan Dose — My ICU Time!
- 5 minutes read - 876 wordsWe often hear that times are changing.
In the AI era, change is no longer gradual — it is accelerated.
Today, AI agents assist us in writing, thinking, researching, and even making personal decisions. Many of us now do something unimaginable a few years ago:
We even confirm what our doctors say… with AI.
- AI explains reports.
- AI answers late-night doubts.
- AI reassures us when anxiety grows.
- It is that second opinion!
Yet, during my recent illness, I discovered something profound:
Even in the age of Artificial Intelligence, human wisdom remains irreplaceable.
I explain in this article how sometimes, healing needs more than medicine dose.

When Life Pauses — Even in the Fastest Era
Good times make us believe difficult days will never arrive.
Bad times make us feel we are alone in suffering.
Who does not want good moments to continue forever?
Who does not wish painful moments to end immediately?
My recent stay in the ICU became a powerful reminder that everything changes — both joy and suffering.
After recurring infections, I was diagnosed with a kidney stone.
A routine cystoscopy procedure was performed and a temporary stent was placed. Everything seemed normal — until the stent removal, expected to be a two-minute procedure, resulted in complications and a bladder injury.
What followed were days in ICU, severe pain, strong antibiotics, five weeks with a catheter, and the rest (hardest part for me).
Life suddenly slowed down.
The same person who spoke about future technologies and immersive intelligence was now learning patience from a hospital bed.
Dose One: AI — The Tireless Assistant
During recovery, AI became my constant companion.
I created a personal health AI assistant, feeding it my reports, medical history, doctor recommendations, and daily symptoms.

At any hour, I could ask:
- What should I expect next?
- Is this pain normal?
- Am I healing correctly?
- Should I be worried?
AI did something incredibly valuable:
It gave assurance.
- Not replacement for doctors — but clarity.
- Not medical authority — but understanding.
It helped me stay informed, calm my fears, and even regain confidence in the treatment when anxiety started to take over.
In the AI era, information is abundant. But information alone does not heal the mind. I realized I needed another kind of medicine.
Dose Two: Jagjeevan — Wisdom Beyond Technology
Ironically, the deeper healing came from my own book.
While in ICU, I began rereading Jagjeevan — Living Larger Than Life, written on the life lessons of my great grandfather, Shri Jagguram.
One sentence echoed repeatedly, since my childhood:
“It will pass.”
- Pain will pass.
- Fear will pass.
- Success will pass.
- Life itself moves in waves.

This simple truth became my anchor.
Despite pain that even strong medication could not fully suppress, I remained calm. Nurses, fellow patients, and hospital staff often asked what kept me composed.
My answer surprised even me:
I was taking a Jagjeevan Dose.
Living Fully — Even Inside a Hospital
The book reminded me of another powerful lesson:
Do not postpone living.
Moments do not wait for perfect health or ideal circumstances.

So life continued — differently, but fully.
- I celebrated my wedding anniversary in the hospital.
- My wife’s birthday was marked between medical checkups.
- I went to watch a movie with a cannula still in my hand.
- With my doctor’s permission, I attended a long-awaited musical concert of Dr. Satinder Sartaaj — even while carrying a catheter bag.
Those moments were not interruptions to recovery.
They were recovery.
Jagjeevan teaches that life is not defined by conditions — but by participation.
AI Era Needs Human Wisdom
AI can predict outcomes.
AI can explain procedures.
AI can reduce uncertainty.
But only wisdom teaches acceptance.
In an age where machines grow smarter every day, the real challenge is not technological advancement — it is inner stability.
The future will belong to people who combine:
- Intelligence with compassion,
- Technology with values,
- Speed with reflection.
AI supported my recovery.
Jagjeevan strengthened my spirit.
Together, they became my complete healing system.
A Dose for Everyone
Today, I have recovered — physically stronger and mentally calmer.
I continue taking my daily Jagjeevan Dose — choosing presence over postponement, and never missing opportunities to meet and spend time with friends and family.
After all, these moments are not obligations; they are nourishment for our own well-being.
Perhaps you may need a Jagjeevan Dose too.
Not only during illness, but during moments of stress, success, uncertainty, or transition — because life keeps moving through seasons, and every phase carries its lesson.
Whatever you are experiencing right now:
It will pass.
A snapshot from my recent visit to my in-laws — celebrating recovery, relationships, and life itself.
