Recognized for Contributions to Global Technology Standards
I am honored to share that I recently received a Letter of Appreciation recognizing my contributions to international standardization activities at the International Telecommunication Union Telecommunication Standardization Sector (ITU-T).
The recognition was conveyed through the Telecommunication Engineering Centre (TEC) under the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), Government of India, acknowledging my contributions made via National Working Group 20 (NWG-20) to ITU-T Study Group 20 (SG20) meetings in 2025, 2026.
What Was Recognized The appreciation recognizes my technical contributions to two proposals that were officially accepted as New Work Items:

Speaker - Immersive Intelligent World - TEC-WG Meeting
Being a member of the Metaverse-related Working Group at the Telecom Engineering Centre (TEC) under the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), Ministry of Communications, Government of India, I had the privilege of speaking on the topic:
“Immersive Intelligent World – The Shift We Are Living Through”
My talk focused on how the metaverse is shaping the future of the internet, and how we can begin preparing for this transformation today.

ITU-T Technical Report - Potential requirements of IoT-based Perishable Goods Monitoring System ITU-T Study Group 20 accepted my recommendation as a Technical Report. It defines key layers for IoT-based retail monitoring systems — including Sensing, Communication, Integration, Application & Analytics, and Management & Maintenance layers.
